How often have you conceived a wonderful idea, only to find it snatched away before you could even write it down? It happens all the time. Ideas seem to flit through our minds with reckless abandon, but so few take root and grow into their potential.
An idea is like an acorn, which has the capacity to feed forest animals or to grow into another mighty oak. Writers often both receive and cultivate ideas, and when they develop these God-given thoughts into books, articles, Bible studies, and other written products, they have the capacity to multiply their ministry and effectiveness manifold. They have the potential to change a life or the world.
All too often, however, ideas, like acorns, never take root. In nature, the oak usually produces thousands of acorns, but only a few actually reach the ground before being snatched by birds, and even fewer become established before being devoured by forest animals. The few that sprout need to be nurtured in order to become mighty oaks.
At Mighty Oak Ministries, we train and nurture writers who are Christian to capture those ideas and develop them into writings of substance, for the display of the Lord's splendor.
